Michelle Renee Blackdeer

Michelle Renee Blackdeer, 52, of Black River Falls, WI, passed away March 1, 2023 at Black River Memorial Hospital. She was born February 19, 1971 in Minneapolis, MN to Eileen Blackdeer and Larry Garvin.
She graduated from Black River Falls High School. She loved to have a good time and enjoyed doing many things such as volleyball, softball, badminton, and running the pool table. She was always listening to music and especially liked rock and reggae. She had a great sense of humor, always joking around and was always quick with a comeback. She loved cooking for her friends and family and being out in the sun. She loved animals, especially her cat, Thumper.
She is survived by her mom, Eileen Blackdeer; dad, Larry Garvin; Auntie Betty Blackdeer; children, Cherisse, Jay Jr., and Laura Cherwenka; Siblings John Blackdeer, Henu, Larry and Quincy Garvin; Grandsons Jay III and Dawson; Nieces Kiara and Kanani; nephew Keoni Blackdeer, and many other nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Michelle is preceded by her maternal grandparents, Clifford Blackdeer and Cecelia Free Blackdeer, paternal grandparents, Francis and Ruby Garvin; uncles, Randall Blackdeer Sr and Ronald Decorah.
Funeral services for Michelle will be Friday, March 3, 2023 at the Mission Community Center from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Clayton Winneshiek will officiate. Burial will immediately follow.
