Michelle Culbertson Obituary
ALBANY - Michelle Lee Culbertson, 53, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, with her loving family by her side.
Michelle was the daughter of Deborah and the late James Amanatides. Michelle was the devoted wife of over 33 years to Richard A. Culbertson.
She worked and attended St. Sophia Greek Orthodox Church and volunteered at Montessori Magnet School for many years. Michelle loved to help people. She was a transporter and rescuer of all kinds of animals and wildlife. Her true passion was caring for and fostering dogs and cats. Michelle enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking holiday meals, shopping and garage sales.
Michelle is survived by her mother, Deborah; her husband, Rich; her daughters, Megan and Kaylee Culbertson; her brothers, James, Peter and Gregory Amanatides; her "sissy," Lisa Culbertson; and a host of close family and friends.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Rd., Watervliet on Saturday, April 22, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. A funeral service will follow the calling hours at 1 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to A Voice for the Voiceless Cat Rescue, 1769 Lenox Road, Schenectady, NY, 12308.

I have yet to know the greatness of my niece Michelle who was by her family and my side till the time to become an angle who grew her wings. All of the plan's were suddenly halted although all her work's stand to be known as her legacy forever which is an example to those who will follow even though it's a great loss experienced by those who knew her. It's the final say in all of our lives. We don't say goodbye we say see you later. Her last joy was seeing we all got to Memphis , TN to Bring our family to stay at The Guest house Elvis wife Pricilla built for fans touring Graceland and Tupelo Elvis birthplace.Amen
