Michelle Selberg Obituary

Published by Legacy on Nov. 18, 2025.
Michelle Lea (McGuire) Selberg, age 55 of St. Michael, MN, passed away November 16, 2025.

Born on October 13, 1970, in Marshalltown, Iowa, she was the daughter of Donald and Pauline (Pullen) McGuire. Her family later settled in Minnesota, where Michelle graduated from Park Center High School in Brooklyn Park. She went on to attend the college of St. Catherine, studying social work-an early reflection of her heart for people and her care for others.

That same instinct grew into her life's work. For more than 25 years, Michelle owned and operated her own daycare in St. Michael. Countless children passed through her doors, each one welcomed with love and attention that made her daycare feel like a second home.

Michelle approached life with drive and energy, especially when it came to her health and fitness. She was always on the move-walking, working out, or simply finding ways to stay active. Even though she was naturally shy, she had a spark that made people smile and a sense of humor that landed quietly but perfectly.

Her deepest, most loyal companions were her dogs. Michelle always had a dog by her side, and they were truly special to her-constant comfort, joy, and company throughout her life.

Michelle will be remembered for her quiet strength, her boundless energy, her kindness, and the soft but steady way she made the world around her better.

She is survived by her children, Carter Selberg, Hannah Mason, and Jeffrey Mason; parents, Don and Pauline McGuire; sister, Monica McGuire; former spouse, Chad Selberg; and many other relatives and friends.

A private service will be held.
