Michelle L. Straumann

Michelle Lynn Straumann, age 47 of Zimmerman, MN, passed away after a long battle with cancer on March 2, 2024, at M Heath Fairview Northland Medical Center in Princeton. Memorial Services will be at 4:00 PM on Sunday, March 17, 2024, at New Life Church in Princeton. Pastor Chuck Pruett will officiate. Visitation will be from 2:30-4:00 PM prior to the service at the church. A reception will follow the service. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Williams Dingmann Funeral Home of Princeton.
Michelle Lynn Straumann was born to Stephen and Carol on October 25, 1976, in Mankato. She grew up in the rural Mapleton area and was involved in FFA, softball, and volleyball. Michelle graduated from Maple River High School in 1995. She then attended Rasmussen College for a short time. While living in Mankato and working at Target, she met her husband, Dan, and they were married on August 29, 1998, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Mankato. They were blessed with four children, one son-in-law, and one grandchild over their 25 years of marriage.
Michelle had such a loving and tender heart for kids that she worked as a daycare provider while living in Minnesota Lake and Glencoe. She then went on to help start a homeschool co-op while living in Zimmerman. Michelle enjoyed jewelry sales, crafting, and making flower arrangements for weddings and graduations. She also had a green thumb and loved everything about gardening and growing flowers. Her longest love was for photography and taking pictures whenever she could of the ones she loved. Michelle was a truly amazing wife and mother with such a kind and gentle spirit that will be greatly missed.
Michelle is survived by her husband, Daniel Straumann; children, Emilia Straumann, David Straumann, Nathaniel Straumann, and Breanna (Chris) Stimpert; grandson, Exodus Stimpert; father, Stephen (Melissa) Birr; mother, Carol (Glenn) Stoffregen; siblings, Andy (Megan) Birr, Kayla Birr, Heike (Ken) Dodge, and Terry Kidd; and nieces and nephews, Kaitlyn, Lilly, Everett, Pearl, Gunther, Hayden, Nordica, and Zane.
