BAXTER CHAPEL-Miss Michelle Wilson, born on July 14, 1971, in Cookeville, TN, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center at the age of 54.
Despite facing the challenges of being disabled, Michelle exemplified determination and resilience throughout her life. She proudly graduated from Upperman High School in Baxter, an achievement that stands testament to her strength of spirit and commitment to personal growth.
Michelle's interests were as vibrant as her personality; she had a great passion for drawing and reading books, constantly nurturing her creative mind. With a keen sense of organization, she also enjoyed keeping up with her activities on her calendar and found joy in her cherished collection of stuffed animals.
A devoted member of Baxter Crossroads Church of God, Michelle found solace and community within her faith, lighting up the lives of those around her with her warmth and kindness. Her spirit and enthusiasm for life will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
Michelle is survived by her father, Bobby Wilson of Cookeville, and Anna Faye; and a host of loving cousins. She was preceded in death by her mother, Carolyn Jean Harville Wilson.
Visitation will be Sunday, November 30, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Baxter Chapel, located at 532 4th Street, Baxter, TN, 38544, followed by the funeral service at 2:00 PM at the funeral home with Bishop Dan Huddleston officiating. Interment will follow in Double Springs Cemetery.
Jordan Ortlepp, Todd Farris, Taylor Qualls, Teresa Ortlepp, Sharman Farris, Dan Dickson and Amanda Campbell will serve as pallbearers.
Michelle Wilson’s legacy of love and positivity will continue to inspire her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched.
