Mickey Hinman Obituary

Mickey Ray Hinman was born on April 18, 1957, to Marvin and Ruth Marie (Sturgis) Hinman in Joplin, Missouri. He grew up and attended school in Parsons.
For many years, Mickey owned and operated his own construction company and was a concrete finisher in Parsons and the surrounding area.
His greatest joy came from spending time with his family and friends, who will miss him dearly. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing.
On September 11, 1978, Mickey and Tina Doty were united in marriage. The couple later divorced.
Survivors include:
One son – Thomas Hinman (Holly) of Parsons, Kansas
One daughter – Stephanie Hinman (Payton Simmers) of Gladewater, Texas
Three grandsons – Zacharia Hinman (Mackenzie) of Parsons, Kansas; Lazarus Hinman of Parsons, Kansas; and Pryor Simmers of Gladewater, Texas
Two granddaughters – Australya Veenstra of Parsons, Kansas; and CoLeen Kepner (Lorenzo) of Parsons, Kansas
Four great-grandchildren – Malachi and MaziLee Hinman; Octavia Kepner; and Emily Garrison
Three sisters – Roxanne Hinman of Arma, Kansas; Colleen Hinman of Parsons, Kansas; and Patty Baker of rural Parsons, Kansas
One brother – Randy Hinman of Parsons, Kansas
Numerous nieces and nephews
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Marsha Ward and Nancy Kinsch; and one brother, Douglas Hinman.
There will be a graveside service at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 9, 2023, at Oakwood Cemetery in Parsons. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons.
Memorials are suggested to help defray final expenses. These may be left at or mailed to Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home, P.O. Box 374, Parsons, KS 67357.

Mick was the best neighbor anyone would want for his or her neighbor. He always had a smile and a greeting. I will always remember him and his huge dog and his commitment to his family. He loved his family; it was very apparent.
