Obituary published on Legacy.com by Bridges Funeral Home on Dec. 24, 2025.
Mickey Ralph McDaniel ("Mick" or "Dog" to some closest to him) was born to Louise and Ralph McDaniel on July 6th, 1957 and found rest December 22nd, 2025.
Mickey spent his youth adventuring with sister Pamela (Husband Danny Condry, Daughter Danielle Robertson [Husband Mathew, sons Kieran and Braylen]) and a host of cousins and friends who he loved like siblings. (See Below) They grew up together collecting trophies racing dirt bikes and cars, riding horses, and generally making mayhem into memories-which he crafted into delightful stories in his older years if you were lucky enough to be nearby when he felt like reminiscing.
While Mickey would chuckle and say he wasn't "book smart," anyone who knew him will tell you he could repair, build, or improve anything more reliably than a NASA engineer. He had a calm, quiet patience about the workings of things, which allowed him to see the solution and the path to get there. These qualities went far beyond the mechanical. They made him an incredible husband, the best father, and a treasured friend.
Those attributes also kept nearly every semi in the area in order for decades thanks to his skillful work at Bee-Line Alignment, where Mickey built a community that felt like family-though he was not above rubbing it in when he and his brother Jimmy brought in lunker and two perfect kickers at weigh-in during late night catfish tournaments. If they came in blasting "Blame It On The Rain," the rest of the crew might as well accept defeat.
Upon retirement, Mickey went to work on things that brought him joy and fulfillment. There was always a new project to tinker at or a friend, family member, or neighbor to support. He loved deeply, and he showed that love through service, with no expectation of anything in return.
If you asked him, Mickey would tell you that, of all his life's work and quiet accomplishments, he took the most pride in his three, strong, capable, beautiful daughters, Noelle (Husband Dan Lewellen, sons Cael and Sloan), Kayleigh (Scott Litton), and Camber (Caleb Burkhart) and his deeply loving and devoted marriage to his wife, Brenda. If Brenda wanted something, Mickey found pleasure in finding a way to build it for her; and in doing so, they crafted a life of love that many only dream of, teaching their daughters through example to expect no less.
So many things fashioned by Mickey's hands remain, but there is a chasm in our hearts without him here. We find peace and comfort in knowing that loved ones guided him on this journey. When his earthly family could go no further, he was welcomed by those he's carried in his heart for years-his mother and father, his Pap, his Uncle Jack Moore, his wonderful neighbors, Don Cole and Don Widner, his father-in-law, Jim Lindsay, a couple of good horses, and his favorite dogs.
***We know that people have likely been missed. Mickey loved and was loved by so many that there is no way for us to take a complete account while our hearts are so broken. We appreciate your grace.***
