Mickey Gene Purifoy

Mickey Gene Purifoy, age 85, passed away Thursday, April 17, 2025 in Dayton. Mickey was born June 11, 1939 in Rodessa, Louisiana to parents, Leonard Walter Purifoy and Gertie Elise Wilson Purifoy. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and worked as a Supervisor at DuPont before retiring.
Mickey is survived by son and daughter n law, Ben Purifoy & Sindy Purifoy of Dayton; sister, Shirley Jean Pinkston and husband, Bill of Salado; grandchildren, Zachary Purifoy and wife, Ashley of Hull, Nathan Purifoy of Dayton, Brooke Coleman and husband, Jeremy of Austin, Korin Arasin and wife, Kathy of Ohio; great-grandsons, Declan Coleman of Austin, Koda Arasin of Ohio; great-granddaughters, Kaylee Arasin of Ohio, Delanei Coleman of Austin; nephews, Randy Pinkston and wife, Patricia of Temple, TX, Lee Pinkston and wife, Priscilla of Willis, Matt Pinkston and wife, Kristy of Magnolia, TX. He was preceded in death by wife, Jacquelyn Anne Purifoy, Married 58 years, widow 5 years; infant twin boys, Michael and Morgan Purifoy, parents, Leonard Walter and Gertie Helsie Wilson Purifoy.
Funeral services for Mickey Gene Purifoy will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at the Lovelady Antioch Baptist Church with Pastor Jonathan Davidson officiating. Interment to follow at Lovelady Antioch Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday evening from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Callaway-Allee Funeral Home.
