He was preceded in death by his father, Wyman Smith; mother, Blanche Smith; and brother, Danny Smith.
Survivors include his wife, Judy G. Smith; daughters, Tara Cobb (Gary); son, Todd Smith (Allison); granddaughters, Abby Cobb, Mallory Cobb, and Morgan Smith; stepdaughters, Susan May (Waller) and Beth Requist (Eric); and 5 stepgrandchildren, Thomas May, Samuel May, John Lawson May, Ella Gray Requist, and Claire Requist.
Mickey was a Tuscaloosa Fireman who retired as a Lieutenant after 25 years of service.
