To the family of Micky Burn: You have my sincere condolences. I can see that he wanted to live in a better world. Well, in the resurrection that Jesus Christ spoke about, he will be in a better world, one where there will be no more wars, hatred, sickness, sorrow or death. In the meantime, please be assured that our loving Father will help you to endure the burden of your aches and pains because he cares for you.

He was a man who learned and grew. Ah, that is the best way to be. What a full life he had and all of us everywhere was the better for it. I am grateful for his contributions but sorry for the grief and sorrow his passing has given his family and friends.

Thank you for your service. The military Cross, and being a prisoner of war after fifty percent of your men are killed in my book makes you quite a hero. As the free world morns your loss we also thank God that Men like you lived. You are part of the great society that saved our way of life. The price paid by all world war veterans can only be imagined. With all the death and suffering is beyond belief. I salute you

I want to thank him for his service during a horrible time in history. Many elite English were drawn to Hitler. He was just that charismatic. I feel Mr. Burn should have not held any shame in being conned by one of history's greatest deceivers. A good man remembers kindnesses and returns them--he did this. The true shame would have been aware of what facisim truly was and then fighting FOR it and not against it.
Rest in Peace, Mr. Burn. This colonist is truly impressed. :)

From Micky's documentary filmmakers: It goes without saying that he was without a doubt the most extraordinary man we have ever had the honour of calling our friend. We are absolutely heartbroken that he will never see what was from its inception a labour of love for us and for everyone involved - so much so that after our very first visit to magical Beud-y-Gwyn we started referring to ourselves as “acolytes” and to Micky as simply The Great Man.

Rest easy, our dearest friend - you have earned it.
