To family and friends, my heartfelt sympathy at the loss of your husband & father,and dear friend,
It is a devastating loss to the surfing community and those who love the ocean and surfing, the loss of Mikala.
Mikala,was an amazing man, kind and humble.
It is heart wrenching to lose such a man.
The only thing that brings some peace is he died doing what he loved.
As a nurse I know that he felt no pain and his last vision was of the barrel of a wave, the glistening drops of salt water he so loved.
RIP, Mikala, fly-high, ❤ .
