Words cannot express how sorry I am for your loss. I worked closely with Mike for almost 2 years. He was smart, passionate about his job, and a great mentor to me. I am thankful for everything he taught me and how he made me laugh every day with his jokes. Mike was devoted to his family and friends and always quick to help anyone in need. Per the words of his granddaughter, Penny, "It´s not a doughnut if it doesn´t have sprinkles", and Mike was like colored sprinkles to this world because he made it a better place. He will be greatly missed.

Our condolences. Mike is one of my favourite cousins. He tutored me in math and came to visit me at McMaster University. He was always so kind and funny as heck. Loved sharing jokes back and forth on messenger. It's truly a loss and I'm really going to miss him. I'm so sorry for all of your family. Xoxo
