Mike Edward Heuss

Michael (Mike) Edward Heuss passed peacefully at his home, after battling ALS & early onset dementia, on Thursday, October 31, 2024. Mike was an avid garage enthusiast, always working on a project. He loved his long time job as a heavy equipment operator, where he excelled as the best excavator operator anyone has ever known. Mike was born on May 8, 1963 in Titusville, Fl. He moved to Indiana in 1989, where he worked as a heavy equipment operator, Mike retired to Georgia in 2020. He enjoyed his retirement with his family and friends, Never meeting a stranger and beloved by all. 

Mike is preceded in death by his dearly loved son-in-law James Owen. 

He is survived by his Loving Wife Karen of 43 years, Children Daughter Robin (Jonathan), James, Ruth, Naomi Owen-Miles and Son Alan (Emily) Hailey, Ella Heuss. Parents Ed & Marcia Heuss. Sister Colleen (Dean) Lucy and Nephew Dustin (Rujanna) Lucy. And many other family & friends. 

We will always remember his sense of humor and kindness.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 22, 2024 beginning at 4:30 p.m. at Liberty Baptist Church, 536 Victory Drive Lyons, GA, in the Great Hall Room.  All friends and family are invited to attend.  For those wishing to send floral tributes, please advise florist to deliver directly to the church on the day of services.
