Mr. Mike Hogan

Mr. Michael �Mike� Franklin Hogan, age 62, of Douglasville, passed away October 7, 2008. He was born in Atlanta, GA on May 25, 1946. Mike was a son of the late Mary Lord Hogan and James Michael Hogan. Mike grew up in Atlanta and attended Brown High School. He was a Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force serving in Vietnam. Mr. Hogan was employed with AT&T (BellSouth) for over 30 years, was an avid Georgia Tech fan, and a member of Bright Star United Methodist Church. Surviving are his wife, Nancy Hogan; children, Allison Hogan, Patrick Hogan, Kristen Hogan Smith and Teri Hogan; brothers, Tommy (Betty) Holliday, Randy (Carol) Hogan; sisters, Sandra (Dick) Orr, Janet (Joe) Chapman; 3 grandchildren, Lyndsie Hogan, Kristopher Smith, and Koby Smith. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening October 8, 2008 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the funeral home. A celebration of life service will be held in the Rosehaven Chapel on Thursday, October 9, 2008 at 11:00 AM. Dr. Thom Shores and Rev. Tim Constien will officiate. Burial will follow in the Bright Star Cemetery with military honors by the U.S. Air Force honor guard. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Mike�s memory to Bright Star United Methodist Church, 3715 Bright Star Rd., Douglasville, GA 30135.
