Mike Kruizenga

With deep sorrow, we announce that Michael James Kruizenga was called home on his 73rd birthday, April 13, 2025 with his family by his side.
Mike was born on April 13, 1952, in Grand Rapids, MI to Fredrick and Lou Jean (Daily) Kruizenga, the oldest of three boys. He was married to Cindy (Heidema) on August 13, 1976. Together they had three boys that were raised in Allendale, Mi.
Mike was an avid outdoorsman; he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Mike also treasured his decades of working with Allendale wrestling; and creating forever friendships. He cherished spending time with his children and grandchildren and loved watching them play sports.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Cindy of 48 years, sons: Kevin Kruizenga, Kurt (Danielle) Kruizenga, and Kyle Kruizenga; grandchildren: Mackenzie (fiance Johnathon Willis) Hailey, Westin, Emersyn, Garett, Toryn and Asher; sister-in-laws Regina Johnston and Cathy Kruizenga; loving nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
Mike was preceded in death by his mother Lou Jean Kruizenga; brothers Pat Kruizenga and Chris Kruizenga; mother-in-law Regina Totoraitis; brother-in-law Rick Heidema; father-in-laws Gerrit (Dick) Heidema and Harry Totoraitis.
A private family funeral will be held. Memorial contributions in Mike's honor may be made to Saint Luke's University Parish where Mike and Cindy were founding members.
