I leaned a lot about sales from Mike in the early 80’s. He was quite an exceptional sales person. My condolences to Dierdre and family.

I just learned of Mike's passing today. Why I had not heard until now I have no idea and am extremely saddened. Mike was a very good friend and colleague in the late 70's and early 80's. I can say, without reservation, that the world will be a lesser place without him in it.

He was a fine fellow and it was a treat to have him at my dinner table with some sports fan friends.

I was best friends with Mike's daughter Sue in High School. Mike took me to my first 49ers game with Sue
at Candlestick Park. My heart and love goes out to all the McCormicks. I know Sue was waiting for her dad with open arms.

I worked with Mike at Monroe Systems for Business in the 90s. We were on their corporate advisory board. He was a class act with great humor and had great stories of his pitching career. A true gentleman.

I was a Dodger fan and always dreaded to see McCormick on the mound for the Giants. He always pitched well against them. Tough lefty had good stuff .

A great Giant and Prince of a man. He was our coach at Giants Fantasy Camp and was always encouraging and positive. Great memories of sipping champagne with him at home plate when we won it all! My thoughts and prayers are with his family

A personal favorite, and it was a thrill to see Mike pitch against the Dodgers in LA back in '69. Also got a big charge when I collected a couple of his baseball cards, during his second stint with the Giants.

By all accounts, Mike exemplified class on and off the field. His interviews with the press revealed his wonderful and thoughtful nature, and his love for the game.

Rest in Peace, Lefty. You will always be a beloved Giant, and your contributions and presence will never be forgotten.

When I was six years old and first learned what Major League baseball was, he was my favorite player. I have never heard anything since to make me less proud to say that than I would have been when I was six.
