Mike Talley

James "Mike" Talley, 61, of Vincennes, IN passed away September 21, 2024, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, IN. He was born to the late James G. Talley and Edith K. (Anderson) Frye in Vincennes, IN on September 20, 1963. Mike attended Lincoln High School and was a graduate of the 1981 class. He continued his education at Oakland City University where he graduated with an associates degree. Mike married the love of his life, Sandra Arthur, on June 24, 1989, and they were blessed with a daughter, Kayla Talley.
Mike was a hardworking man. He worked for Organ Battery, J&W Express, and Best Way over the duration of his career. Mike enjoyed tinkering with antique tractors and semi trucks. He was known for never knowing a stranger and being the best friend anyone could ask for. He loved spending time with his family and friends and traveling to visit his extended family. Mike was a true family man and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents James G. Talley and Edith Frye; father-in-law Larry Arthur.
He is survived by his wife, of 35 years, Sandy Talley; daughter Kayla (Jared) Wilkinson; grandchildren Emily, Aubri, and Wilkinson Twins arriving in November; mother-in-law Norma Arthur; siblings-in-law Tony Arthur, Marilyn (Dave) Pennell, Carolyn (Brad Bilskie) Butler; and numerous friends.
Goodwin-Sievers is honored to be entrusted with the care or Mike. A Graveside Service will be held Friday, September 27, 2024, at Memorial Park Cemetery at 11:30 am.
