First, I want to say how saddened I am for everyone's loss. Mike was truly a good guy who would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. I've prayed for the family's comfort and understanding over this senseless loss in their lives. I want to encourage them to not stop praying to God for peace, knowledge, and wisdom over this.

I knew Mike many years ago when we both worked at Winn Dixie in Gautier. He was one of the very few people I considered a friend. We spent a lot of time hanging out at work talking, and I even spent a lot of time coming to his house to hang out and work on his computers and bounce ideas off of each other. I used to help him run a computer bulletin board (BBS) called Neptune's Realm. After I left Winn-Dixie we just sort of went in different paths. I lost touch with him but often wondered how he was doing. Emotions have been all over the place since the night this tragedy happened.

But after reading his obit today I have found renewed joy learning that at some point in his life he found and accepted Christ Jesus' gift of eternal life, knowing that one day when I pass away we'll see each other again.
