Mikel Suelter Obituary
Mikel Gene Suelter, 78, passed away Friday, December 26, 2025, in Louisville, KY. He was born December 20, 1947 in Ellsworth, KS to Roland and Velma (Fischer) Suelter.
Mikel grew up in Lincoln, KS, was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, and graduated from Beverly High School. Mikel joined the US Navy in 1968, and after proudly serving his country for over five years, went on to serve as a law enforcement officer for the Florida Fish and Game Commission for 31 years. Mikel returned to Kansas after retirement, where he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with friends and family.
Mikel is survived by his daughter Michele Suelter (Jeremiah Butts) and granddaughter, Annabelle of Louisville, KY; brother Roger Suelter of Lincoln; and sister-in-law Mickey Suelter of Lincoln. He was preceded in death by his wife Felicia; parents; brother Stanley; and sister Lora Howg.
Funeral service: 10:30 a.m., Friday, January 2, 2026 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Lincoln. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
In lieu of plants and flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, c/o, Hall Chapel, PO Box 37, Lincoln, KS 67455.
