Obituary published on Legacy.com by George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home (Southside) - Jacksonville on Oct. 11, 2025.
Milana "Sue" Weaver, age 74, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on October 11, 2025, with her family by her side. Sue was born on February 17, 1951, and was a lifelong resident of
Jacksonville, Florida. She is now rejoicing in Heaven with The Lord.
Sue, a graduate of Englewood High School, met the love of her life, the late William (Billy) Weaver and they were married on September 4, 1971. Sue had a very successful career with Prudential and IBM as a Project Manager, but her real strength was her love and commitment to The Lord. She was such a wonderful caring Christian Lady and is now rejoicing in Heaven and enjoying a beautiful reunion with her Billy.
Sue was the heart, soul, and rock of her family, the one everyone always counted on. Sue gave so much of herself to everyone, asking for nothing in return and made every life she touched a little brighter. Sue was loved by everyone that knew her and left behind a legacy of compassion, faith and unconditional love.
Sue dearly loved her family and cherished every moment spent together, especially during family dinners and gatherings. She was the one who always took pictures and loved making family photo albums for all the family. She was often heard saying "OK it's picture time!".
Sue was very active at Kernan Baptist Church and often talked about the fellowship of her Sunday School Class. Her greatest joy came from her son Adam, her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, they were the light of her life.
Sue is preceded in death by her beloved husband Billy, her parents Marjorie and Cleo Brown and her brother Greg (Derria). Sue is survived by her two sons Adam Weaver (Stephanie) and Marc Weaver (Shannan), five grandchildren Chase (Emilee), Ashlyn, Skyler, Clay and Cory. Two great grandchildren Braelyn and Bowen, sister Donna Walter (Greg), brother-in-law Larry (Wanda), Melissa Robinson (James), Terra Mays (Charles), Kristi DeLong (Taj), Lisa Cottrell (David) and many great nieces and nephew. In addition, she is survived by her lifelong friend Dianna Davis (Critter, Amanda and family), Trip Girls, Carter, Gordon, and Vanpelt families. Extended families: Weavers, Browns, McElvys, Warrens, Coursons and Kents.
