Lila & Ruth,
Your mother was my mom´s friend when they lived across the hall from each other at Lincoln Court. They both loved books, and shared good reads with each other. They also shared an appreciation for English grammar, which tickled me to hear them each mention. When my mom died, your mother graciously extended her friendship to me. Her warmth eased the finality of losing mom. We became pen pals, which lightened my journey of grief. During Covid lockdowns we also talked on the phone occasionally, and I was frustrated that it took years rather than months for me to be able to visit Millie in person as I traveled through Idaho Falls to settle the estate.
Finally last Easter Marc & I spent the entire day with her, sharing meals, talking about everything under the sun, and hearing stories from the family photo album. That day is a memory I treasure. I had hoped to do it again, but sadly that will not be possible.
I will always be grateful for the joyful season of your mom in my life.
I´m so very sorry for your loss.
With sympathy and love, Ann Lee
