Mildred Beatrice Holder

Mildred Beatrice Vaught Holder, 93, went to be with the Lord on December 1, 2025. "Bea" was the widow of James Paul Holder and the daughter of the late Roosevelt and Bessie Mae Vaught. After her mother passed away, Bea and her sister, Clara, were blessed to have a wonderful stepmother, the late Pearlie Wilson Vaught. Five children, Mildred Carole (Marty) Hogan, Clara Elizabeth Brewer, James Paul Holder, Jr., David Michael (Judy) Holder, and Robert Dale Holder are left in addition to numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren to mourn her passing. Bea's life was filled with family who loved her and life-long friends whom she met during her 30 years of service with Minit Mart Foods. One of her most rewarding activities was the greeting cards she wrote and sent for birthdays and anniversaries. She had beautiful handwriting and a wonderful talent for writing just the right message to each recipient. Other important people during her lifetime was the most amazing grandmother, Lillian Beatrice Vaught, who raised her and her sister, the late Clara McColgan, after their mother died in 1942. Her brothers, Delonis C. Vaught and Luther Vernon (Dorthy) Vaught were a constant source of love and support for Bea throughout her life. As was a dear sister-in-law of over 70 years, Salvicy Thompson. And lastly, Bea's special cousin, friend and travel companion, Annie Cummins, with whom she took numerous trips and made many happy memories, especially their trip to Paris, France. Visitation will be 11:00am – 12:00pm Tuesday December 9, 2025, at the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church with a 12:00pm service to follow. Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Somerset, KY, at 3:00pm Tuesday.
