Mildred Wimberly Kizer

Orangeburg - Mildred Wimberly Kizer, 88, of Orangeburg, S.C., passed away on February 21, 2025. She was the wife of the late Gene Roger Kizer for 66 years.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., Saturday, March 1, 2025, at St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, with Rev. Cindy Muncie officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at 1:30 p.m., same day as the service, in the church sanctuary. Honored to serve as pallbearers are Thomas Kizer, Matthew Kizer, Clint Henderson, Matthew Fowler, Chris Harpe, and Danny Young.

Mildred was born in St. George, S.C., a daughter of the late Watson David Wimberly and Louise Durr Wimberly. She worked many years as a bank teller and retired from BB&T bank. Mildred was a very active member of St. Andrew's United Methodist Church and volunteered with the Council of Aging with the Meals on Wheels program.

Survivors include her two sons, David Kizer (Julie) and Richard Kizer (Diane), both of Moncks Corner, S.C.; grandchildren, Erin Henderson (Clint) of Greenville, S.C., Thomas Kizer (Katie) of Taylors, S.C., Matthew Kizer (Nicole) of Greenville, S.C., and Sidney Fowler (Matthew) of Lexington, S.C.; and great-grandchildren, Daniel Henderson, Lucy Henderson, Olivia Kizer, Beau Kizer, and Blair Kizer. In addition to her husband; and parents; she was predeceased by her great-grandson, Cole Henderson; and sister, Martha Ann McAlhaney.
