Mildred "Joyce" Lancaster, age 89, born September 3, 1936 passed away December 15, 2025.

She is survived by her four children, Linda Lindsey, Angie & Doug Epstein, Sheryl & John Damken, and W.M "Billy" & Kim Lancaster. She is also survived by her seven grandchildren Josh & Juile Lindsey, Benjamin Epstein, Anna Epstein, Shannon & Chad Davis, Matt & Katie Lancaster, Stacey & Bryan Irvine, Michelle & Justin Singleton and six great-grandchildren. Her family was the most important part of her life. Joyce will be greatly missed by her family and many friends. Her loving nature, positive outlook and good humor will be long remembered.

Joyce was born in 1936 to Celeste and Rubert Stribling. She grew up in Grant Park where she met several of her lifelong friends. Paula Mann, Sandra Ursery and Marylene Brannon. She was married to Jim Rivers and had two loving daughters, Linda and Angie. She later married William M "Bill" Lancaster who gave her 2 more loving children Sheryl and Billy. She and Bill travel the world with their friends Paula and Hunter Mann. She worked for Maritz where she began conducting market research surveys in the mall. Joyce climbed the corporate ladder and became the Senior Regional Vice President over the Southeast states. She lived in Conyers attending Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church and later moved to Covington, where she was an active member of the Covington United Methodist Church participating in choir and serving at the food pantry. She recently moved to Deaton Creek where she resided with her daughter, Linda, in Houshton, Ga. Joyce truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; chatting with friends and family, singing and dancing, reading, and spending time with her family and furry friends.

Family, friends, and others whose lives Joyce touched are invited to a Celebration of Life gathering at her daughter Angie Epstein's house at 3pm on Saturday December 20, 2025 to reminisce, grieve, support each other and share stories. Please contact Angie at 404.723.3946 for more details.
