Mildred "Mid" Lechner, 69, of Tell City, passed away on December 2, 2023, at her home in Tell City, IN.
Born October 18, 1954, in Bristow, IN, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Iva (Geer) Aders.
She married Jerry Lechner on February 12, 1972. She retired as the manager of Family Dollar after many years of service. Mid enjoyed throwing horseshoes, playing cards, watching baseball, and going shopping. Her greatest joy in life was her family.
Survivors include her husband of 51years, Jerry Lechner of Tell City; her children, Missy Eickhoff of Evansville and Christopher Lechner of Tell City; brother Ed Vanhoosier of Tell City; her grandchildren, Camden, Ashley, Kayla, Owen, Tesa, Cierra, Ricky and Karlee; and 6 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Muriel "Lou" Schmitt, Dorothy Laswell, Stella Williams, Mary Ann Bauer, Ruth Jean Kaufman, Jr. VanHoosier, William VanHoosier, Precilla VanHoosier and Arthur Aders.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00am on Thursday December 7, 2023, at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Bristow Cemetery.
There will be a visitation from 3:00pm to 6:00pm on Wednesday December 6, 2023, and 8:00am to service time on Thursday at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
