Mrs. Mildred Moore, age 78, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at Coastal Manor Nursing Home in Ludowici, GA., after an extended illness. Mrs. Moore was a native of Appling County and then moved to Elgin, OK, and then to Hinesville, GA. She was self-employed as an independent contractor with her husband, Cecil, and worked with moving companies. Mrs. Mildred loved to travel, loved animals, and rescued dogs, providing them with a good home. She was also a member of the "Birds of a Feather" Motorhome club.

Preceding her in death are her husband, Cecil Moore; a son, David Moore (Johanna) of Mt. Vernon, MO; her parents, James Fernie and Vega Ethel Thompkins; a brother, Belton Thompkins; her sisters, Louise Miller, Irene Wiggins, and Georgia Mae Creamer.

Survivors include her daughter, Christina Moore of Colorado Springs, CO; daughter-in-law, Johanna Moore; her brother, Homer Tompkins (Bonnie) of Hinesville, GA; a sister, Bertha Buch of Texas; four grandchildren, Katy Biniakewitz, Justin Moore, Vicki Moore, and Tyler Moore; two great-grandsons; along with several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 10th, 2026, at 11:00 A.M. in the Strickland Room of Nobles Funeral Home. A graveside Service and interment will follow at Appling Memorial Gardens, with Gene Thompkins officiating.

Active Pallbearers are Gene Thompkins, Darin Creamer, Darrell Creamer, Justin Moore, Stanley Miller, Lester Spikes, Jason Tompkins, and Ronnie Wiggins.

Honorary Pallbearers are the members of Coastal Manor Nursing Home and Georgia Hospice. Special thanks for their generous care and concern.
