Mildred Mullins Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Parsell Funeral Homes-Hardesty Chapel - Bridgeville on Mar. 5, 2024.
Mildred Lee Mullins, aged 87, was a beacon of love and strength, who passed away peacefully on March 2, 2024, in Bridgeville, Delaware, surrounded by her loving family. Born on January 25, 1937, in Baltimore, Maryland, to Howard and Ida Lilley, Mildred's life was a resplendent tapestry woven with dedication, warmth, and an unwavering commitment to her family.
A nurturing homemaker and the revered matriarch of her clan, Mildred raised seven children with a love so fierce it became her defining legacy. She was the embodiment of a 'super mom,' with her life harmonized around the happiness and well-being of her family above all else. Mildred's benevolence and care were also reflected in her role as a beloved sibling, missing her nine brothers and sisters who passed before her, leaving behind a legacy of unity and familial love.
Her husband Eugene Mullins, Sr., son Hobert Mullins, and her son-in-law Phillip Ensor, predeceased her. Their memories continue to flourish through her surviving children: Brenda Ensor, Eugene Mullins, Jr., Jack Mullins, Sr. with his wife Angel, Howard Mullins with his wife Robin, Craig Mullins with his wife Nicole, and Sean Mullins with his wife Dawn. Mildred's joy was multiplied and reflected in the shining faces of her 14 grandchildren, her precious 25 great-grandchildren, along with the newest addition, a cherished great-great-grandchild.
Mildred reveled in simple pleasures; her talent for embroidering pillowcases was remarkable, as was her enthusiasm for the roar of engines on race days, watching her boys compete with vigor. An avid traveler, she cherished her times in Florida, and her zest for living was evident in her passion for shopping. As an excellent cook, she delighted in hosting family events, creating memories and meals that warmed the heart and soul.
Mildred's life was a journey filled with abundant love and patience, her name synonymous with devotion. The legacy of her spirited love stays with us, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
