Mildred “Micki” Louise Hewitt Patterson

Mildred Louise Hewitt Patterson, affectionately known as “Micki”, passed away peacefully at home on April 27, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was 81 years old.
Born on July 28, 1943, in Norfolk, Virginia, Micki was the daughter of Benny Hewitt and Thelma Perry Wright. She grew up in Virginia Beach, where she developed a deep appreciation for family, faith and community. After marrying the love of her life, Rex Patterson, she relocated to Kentucky, where they built a life filled with love and devotion.
A woman of many passions, Micki found joy in dancing, cooking, cross-stitching, and sharing her faith through prayer. Family gatherings were her sanctuary, where her warmth and love enveloped all who attended. Her unwavering spirit and devotion to her family leave an enduring legacy.
Micki was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Rex; her parents, two brothers and two sisters. She is survived by her children: Eric Patterson (Terri), Mark Patterson and Regina Patterson Hines (Robert); her grandchildren: Erica Anderson (Richard), Christian Hines and Erin Scherber (Bryce); eight great grandchildren; two sisters: Brenda Rhees and Deborah Laughlin; and many, loving nieces and nephews.
Micki will be deeply missed but forever cherished in the hearts of those who loved her.
A private family celebration of Micki’s life will be held at Cone Funeral Home.
