Mildred passed away Thursday, Aug. 10, 2023, at Hospice House of the Western Reserve in Cleveland.
Born June 16, 1929, in Cambridge, she had been a resident of Lake County for 57 years.
She was a member of St. Mary Magdalene Church in Willowick and enjoyed going to the casino, playing bingo, doing puzzles, crossword puzzles and reading.
Mildred was the beloved wife of 74 years to George A. Petrasko; loving mother of David A. (Karen) Petrasko, Kathleen A. (Greg) Sternberg, Joseph G. (Margaret) Petrasko, and Anne M. (Miguel) Capetillo; cherished grandmother of Jason Petrasko, Justin (Caroline) Sternberg, Lauren Petrasko, Matthew Petrasko, Marissa (Kyle) Mack, Jeremy (Julia) Capetillo, Danielle (Bryan) Rosine, Abby (Michael) Putnam, Gwen Petrasko and Chelsea Petrasko; beloved great-grandmother of Aaden and Mason Sternberg, Ethan (in Heaven), Emilia and Noah Mack; Cora, Helen, Lydia and Eve Capetillo, Kayla, Hannah and Justin Rosine; dear sister of William (Betty) Slifko, Paul (Mary) Slifko, Edward Slifko, and Harold Slifko; and aunt of many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her son, Robert D. (Mary) Petrasko; and parents, Andrew and Anna (nee Kromi) Slifko.
Family will receive friends from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 13, at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 6330 Center St. (Route 615, north of Route 2), in Mentor. Burial will follow the Mass at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township.
