Mildred Rhett (affectionately known as GiGi) was born on November 19, 1929 to the late Dave Wilson, Sr. and Louise Grant Wilson in Ridgeland, SC. On November 11, 2025 Mildred was called from labor to rest.
Mildred attended the Jasper County School District. She met and married Frank Rhett, Sr. in 1982. She worked as a seamstress and counter clerk at Ridgeland Dry Cleaners. She was a member of Second Euhaw Baptist Church.
Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, sisters Dorothy Gillyard, Idell Drake, Beatrice Thomas, Nordell Sibert, Nettie Ruth Heyward, and Isabell Jones; brothers, Jocenia Wilson, Solomon Wilson, Dave Wilson, Jr., and one stepson, Frank Ronald Rhett, Jr.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories her sister, Lucretia Habersham, two caring nephews, James Jones and Robert Sibert, Jr., two caring nieces, Margaret Singleton and Louise Hugue, two sister-in-law’s, Dorothy Wilson and Thelma Wilson, three stepchildren, Eva Marie Tyson, Greg Tyson, and Mable Arlene Rhett, and a host of relatives and friends.
The family of Mildred Rhett would like to thank everyone for their prayers and kindness shown through our bereavement. We would like to give a special thanks and appreciation to Compassus Hospice for their tender loving care provided to Aunt Mildred and family.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, November 25, 2025 at the Grahamville Cemetery.
