Ms. Mildred Irene Thompson

Mildred Thompson Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Evans & Browne's Funeral Home on Dec. 29, 2025.
Mrs. Mildred Irene Thompson was Irene February 24, 1931 in Columbus, Ohio and passed away peacefully at 94 years of age on December 29, 2025 in Saginaw, Michigan. She was really looking forward to celebrating her 95th birthday.

Mildred Irene Cistrunk was born to Edward Cistrunk and Lillie V. Cistrunk. Even though she worked a few different jobs, she was at one time interested in nursing, but once she started having children, she chose the great career of being a housewife and mother of four children; Keith Lynn Cistrunk, Michael Richard Johnson, Michelle Renee Thompson and Clarence Aric Thompson. She was married to Clarence Lucious Thompson until he passed away on May 5, 1992.

Mom loved Jesus and dedicated her life to family, and worked as an aid in several schools and worked up to her later years. She was one of the kindest, most genuine, loving, patient and understanding human beings you could ever know. Let me also say this, Ms. Milly could cook, I mean bake, broil and fry-for real.

While growing up, options for the meals she prepared for her children were – (WHATEVER SHE PUT ON THE TABLE). Also, Momma could fry chicken like nobody else, and I think she taught that skill to Michelle and to Keith's wife, Dana. She loved the music of Al Green, Johnnie Taylor, Earth Wind & Fire, the Hawkins Singers, Andrae Crouch and so many more. She loved watching Steve Harvey, basketball games, movies, shows, sitcoms, and she listened to them all.

REALLY LOUD!!! Especially in these last few years.

MS. Milly as she was affectionately known-IS ALREADY MISSED.

Mom leaves behind to mourn her absence, her children, Keith and Dana Cistrunk, Michael and Tracy Johnson, Michelle Thompson and Aric and Sara Thompson; grandchildren, Monica and Marcus Cistrunk, Travis Clark, Kayla Cistrunk, Nakeya Pratt, Oliver and Jessica Pratt, Brandon Pratt, Harmony Johnson, Desiree Pratt, Michael, Jr., Elizabeth and Alesha Johnson, Krystal Thompson, Kira Corral and Davion Love; great-granddaughters, Ariel Packard and Memphis Johnson; her longtime honorary Sister, Aunt, Liz Parker; nephews, Williams and Arlena McCoy, R.
