Mildred Harrison Tunstall

Mrs. Mildred Harrison Tunstall, 96, passed away on August 12, 2022.
Mildred was born May 3, 1926, in Durham, NC, to the late David Russell and Dora Vick Harrison. She was a faithful, active member of Rose of Sharon Baptist Church, where she served as a part of CITA Sunday School and Golden Roses Seniors. Mrs. Tunstall loved teaching and working with children, especially as a Sunday School teacher. She loved her nieces, nephews, and grandchildren dearly. Everyone knew that her priorities were always loving God, her husband, her children, and her grandchildren.
Mildred will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Tunstall was preceded in death by her loving husband of over 50 years, Willie "Gene" Tunstall; and brother, David Robert Harrison.
Mrs. Tunstall is survived by her daughters, Wanda Faulkner (Richard) and Patricia Hunter; sister, Mary Harrison Adams; granddaughter, Holly Hunter Ricketts (Tyler); and great-grandchildren, Laney, Marshall, and Collings Ricketts.
Serving as pallbearers will be Macon Tunstall, Craig Tunstall, Tavie Tunstall, Tim Tunstall, Alan Faucette, and Daniel Pope.
A visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. -12:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 17, 2022, at Hudson Funeral Home with a funeral service following at 12:00 p.m., in the Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Jeff McCarthy. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
