Funeral services for Mrs. Mildred Louise Warrington, age 84, will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, December 20, 2025 in the Shelton-Hunt Funeral Home Chapel with Jake Fry officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 11 AM until service time at the funeral home.
Mrs. Warrington, lovingly known to her family as Memaw, passed away on Thursday, December 18, 2025 at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born on August 19, 1941 to the late Sherman and Rutha Mae Climer. She married the love of her life, the late Mr. Lanny Warrington on January 11, 1959. Mrs. Mildred was a woman of quiet strength, generous love and steadfast faith. She was a devoted Christian and faithful member of Emmanuel Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Charles Climer, Billy Climer, Jackie Climer and Howard Climer; sisters, Catherine Scroggins, Judy Walters and Barbara Sipes; and grandson, Caleb Warrington.
Mrs. Warrington is survived by her son, Bobby Warrington; two daughters, Donna Moore (Pat) and Sandra Hammonds (Mike); two sisters, Faye Thomas and Martha Robinson; a brother, Larry Climer; ten grandchildren, Jonathan Warrington(Ashley), Allison Kuykendall (Kerry), David Hammonds (Courtney), Brandon Moore (Hollie), Jason Moore (Morgan), Jessica Hammonds, Christy Sherrill (Greg), Caley Warrington, Madison Warrington and Sabrina Carroll; and fifteen great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Emmanuel Baptist Church in Humboldt.
