Milo Taylor Dailey-Bloomfield, treasured son of Chad and Ashley and much anticipated brother to Gemma and Violet, was born sleeping on October 23rd at Riverton Hospital. Our lives were touched by the excitement and love He brought us.
The discovery of Milo's journey into our lives happened back in July. Of course we had to take multiple tests to confirm we weren't seeing things. All positive! Chad and I were excited, hoping to add a little boy to our tribe. The first people we told were Grammy Cathy and Big Sister Gemma. Gemma didn't believe us at first, but then burst out into tears of joy. She said she wanted a baby brother and that was it! When we finally told Violet, she was excited, but of course opposing Gemma's verdict, she was rooting for a little sister.
In the coming weeks we told some of our very close friends and family, but we knew we wanted to surprise everyone with the announcement after we knew the gender. While we waited, we dreamed of how adding another cute babe would be, and we tried not to get too ahead of ourselves and buy up all the baby boy clothes before we were sure. The boy clothes have gotten much cuter over time, and it proved a hard task!
With our favorite holiday quickly approaching, we knew we needed a cute family Halloween costume to announce our coming attraction. We choose a "Handy Baby" theme to go along with Daddy's business. We got the pictures taken, and were anticipating the reveal to all. We had 6 days until our anatomy ultrasound to confirm the gender when everything turned upside down.
On October 23rd, at 20.5 weeks along, Ashley's water suddenly broke and our hearts were broken. Our Milo went to meet Jesus before he was born. We were able to meet our perfect boy and spent time loving him. He has the girls' adorable nose, perfect little hands and feet. Gemma and Violet got to meet their brother and feel the immense joy of having a new sibling, but also learn a lesson in Faith. (Grief)?
The cuddles and loves were cut too short, but our hearts are full of Love for our little Milo. We will remember him daily, and we all know he is now our little guardian Angel watching over us. Our family is forever changed and forever grateful to have spent this brief, but incredibly meaningful, time with Milo.
An open house Celebration of Milo will be held on Friday, November 21st from 6-8 at our church building, 15429 S Iron Horse Boulevard, Bluffdale, UT. Please come honor Milo and the Dailey-Bloomfields. We will be mingling and snacking with everyone that can make it. Hugs and maybe some tears await you.
