Milo R. Goorhouse, 65, of Dowagiac, Michigan, passed away on Friday morning, Dec. 12, 2025, at his home with his wife by his side.
He was born on Sept. 27, 1960, in South Bend, Indiana, the son of the late Robert and Barbara (Hershberger) Goorhouse. On Aug. 18, 1979, Milo was united in marriage to the former Cynthia M. Rhodes.
Milo had a passion for racing. He enjoyed motorcycles, race cars and classic automobiles. He was particularly proud of his fully restored 1972 Dodge Dart. Milo loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He and Cindy were avid supporters and attended many of their sporting events.
Surviving are his wife of 46 years, Cindy Goorhouse; daughter, Rachel (John) Redmond; four grandchildren, Cody, Dakota, Cheyenne and Arianna Redmond; and sister Karen (Edgar) Robinson.
A service to celebrate Milo's life will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 22, at Clark Chapel-Starks Family Funeral Homes, 405 Center St., Dowagiac, where friends may visit with his family from 12:30 p.m. until the time of service. Interment will follow in Crane Cemetery, Volinia.
Memorial contributions may be directed to Salvation Army or Corewell Health Hospice and Palliative Care.
