Milo Merle Sturgis Jr., 90, of Wooster, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, February 13, 2026, at his home.
He was born March 16, 1935, in Apple Creek to Milo Merle Sturgis Sr. and Annabelle {Parrish} Sturgis.
Milo proudly served in the Army for two years.
He married Martha Lee Edwards on December 30, 1953.
Milo owned and operated Sturgis Cleaning Service, later he worked as a field tech at SDMyers in Tallmadge. After retirement, he worked at Wooster Community Hospital.
He was a member of the Wooster Elks Lodge #1346. He enjoyed working, traveling, and spending time with his family. Milo was a fast pitch pitcher, he loved sports. He loved watching his grandchildren and great-grandchildren play sports.
Milo will be deeply missed by his wife Martha, children Rodney Sturgis, Scott (Karen) Sturgis, 5 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and niece Christy Scitz.
Milo was preceded in death by his parents and sister Norma Jeanne Gilbert.
Friends may call Thursday, February 19 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. Services will follow at 12 p.m. at the funeral home (and livestreamed at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com/obituaries/Milo-Sturgis) with Pastor Warren Outhwaite officiating. A private burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. Online tributes may be made at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com. Memorial contributions may be made to Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare.
