George Loper

I'm so sorry to learn of Milton's passing. He was a super great guy and a vital part of my youth. I'm crying as I write this. When I was 14, in 1967, aside from farm work, no one else would hire me because of my young age. But Milton did, as a bottle washer, in the Elmer Hospital laboratory. It was my first job outside of the farm, and I was paid $1.60 per hour. I thought I was rich! Well, I was rich, but rich in priceless friendships, experiences, and memories. Our co-workers were Carolyn Miller, Jeanie Combs, Dr. Bernhard our pathologist, Shirley Renlund our secretary, "Radio" Mandy, and Letia who lived directly across the street from the hospital. Milton fondly called her "Leti-er". Three years I worked with these beautiful people. Milton was a fun-loving guy, with a sense of humor, and a musical talent. I remember Elmer Hospital picnics at Centerton Lake, the water slide, and those gigantic five-cent pretzel sticks. Milton was the center of attention at these picnics with his stories and his songs. He would often speak of his native-American heritage. I believe his grandparents were Cherokee. Because my name was George, he called me "Georgie Valesquez", which was the name of his favorite jockey. Milton became my friend, and he was indeed a friend to everyone. What a warm and wonderful guy, who found God, which made him even more warm and wonderful! Our beloved Milton Clark, may God bless him, and his family, and keep him, and them, in His embrace, as Milton Clark kept all of us. No finer human being ever lived! -- With Love, Respect, and Affection-- George Loper.

I grew up down street from Clark's. I was in between Bobby and Gary in school. My Gram used to holler Hey Clark whenever he came or left. They waved to each other. She looked forward to that. May God bless him and his family and keep them forever in HIS sight. Penny Montgomery.

I was privileged enough to have met and worked alongside Milt for many years at Salem Nuclear Generating Station. Always a smile for everyone. RIP Milt.

I had time to visit Milt during outages at Salem, he was always outside working on his garden, when I would see him he looked up at me and would say how are you doing you crazy guy. Lol , then he would ask about everyone we both knew.
