Milton Lesemann Obituary
Edwardsville - Milton Lesemann died August 10, 2024, at Eden Care Center, Edwardsville IL. Milton was born May 30, 1934 to Alfred and Emma (Wiesemann) Lesemann. He grew up on a farm near Prairietown, IL. Milton attended St. Peter's Lutheran School near his home and graduated from Worden High School and later graduated from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville. On July 21, 1934, he was united in marriage to Lucille Mae Paul in Edwardsville. Milton was a United States Army Veteran. After his military service was completed, he and his wife Lucille made their home in Edwardsville for 60 years, and then moved to Eden Retirement Center. He was employed by the U. S. Postal Service in Edwardsville, IL. After retiring from the Post Office, he was employed at the Sunset-Hills Country Club for 26 years. Milton enjoyed traveling, his garden, reading and crossword puzzles. He is survived by his wife Lucille and his daughter Rita Lesemann. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Alberta Luber Homann, his father and mother-in-law, Erwin and Anna Paul.
Visitation will be at Saksa Mateer Funeral Home, 210 N. Kansas St., Edwardsville, IL on Thursday August 15, 2024, from 9:00 to 11:00 AM. Funeral service to follow at 11:00 AM with Pastor John Shank officiating. Burial will follow at Prairietown, IL, cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Trinity Lutheran Ministries, Edwardsville, IL.

I met Milt at Sunset Hills and he was always so kind and welcoming. He worked hard and had a positive impact on everyone he met.

I am so very sorry to see of Milton's passing. My deepest heartfelt sympathy to you!! He always had a smile and so very pleasant!
I will be out of town this week and will not be able to make the services.
