Milton Bernard Schilly

Milton Bernard Schilly also lovingly known as Sonny, of Hazelwood, Missouri formerly of Bloomsdale, Missouri, Was born on April 16, 1938 in Bloomsdale, a son of the late Bernard Schilly and the late Violet (Drury) Schilly. Sonny passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 19, 2022 at the age of 84.
Those who remain to treasure his memory include his daughter, daughter, Alice Schilly Rhodes (husband, Sam); grandson, Samuel Rhodes Jr.; two step granddaughters: Stephanie Grimm and husband Doug; Melissa Carter and husband Stephen; three step great grandchildren; and mother of his daughter, Joyce Schilly. Sonny also leaves behind many special nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends of the Baptist Home in Ironton.
In addition to his father and mother, Sonny was preceded in death by his daughter, Joan Marie Schilly; Waneita Schilly Burgert and husband Kenneth, Peggy Schilly Naeger and husband Harry, Janet Schilly Hermann and husband Vince.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Washington County Partnership, 212 East Jefferson Street, Potosi, MO. 63664. Memorials will go towards the soon coming all inclusive playground at Potosi City Park.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 22, 2022 from 5 to 8 PM at DeClue Funeral Home, 301 East High Street, Potosi, MO. 63664.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at 11 AM held at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 40 St. Agnes Drive, Bloomsdale, MO. 63627. Fr. Michael Benz will officiate. Interment will follow at St. Agnes Cemetery where Sonny will receive full military funeral honors presented by the U.S. Army.
