In Loving Memory of Milton Schroeder Jr.
August 7, 1935 – October 16, 2025
Milton Schroeder Jr., affectionately known as "Old Man," was born on August 7, 1935, in Millheim, Texas, to the late Milton Schroeder Sr. and Alma Dora Bolten Schroeder. He peacefully transitioned from this life on Thursday, October 16, 2025.
Milton Jr. spent two formative years studying in Dallas before graduating from Bellville High School in 1951. A skilled brick mason by trade, he built homes and hearts across Bellville and the surrounding communities with craftsmanship and care.
He also served in the United Sates Navy for a number of years.
He found joy in life's simple pleasures-watching Joel Osteen, riding his motorcycle across the United States, barbequing, playing cards and dominoes, and cheering on his favorite golf players. He rarely missed episodes of Wheel of Fortune or Jeopardy, and delighted in polka music, goulash, and chocolate chip cookies. Above all, he cherished time spent with his grandchildren.
Milton Jr. was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Tommie Joella Schroeder; his parents, Milton Schroeder Sr. and Alma Dora Bolten Schroeder; and his brothers, Harry Gene Schroeder and Sterling Jack Schroeder.
He leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter in the hearts of his children: George Scott Schroeder and Rhonda Jasek; his brother, Robert Schroeder; grandchildren: Brittney Schroeder (Monika Mikeska), Haley Capishtran (Anthony), Jared Jasek, Brandy Evans, and Amber Jonosky; ten great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends who will forever treasure his memory.
