Mimi Reeves Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Harrison Family Mortuary on Feb. 24, 2026.
Mimi Elizabeth Reeves, 60 years old, of Copalis Beach Washington, passed away at her home in February 2026.

Mimi was born on May 8th, 1965 in Spokane Washington. She attended University High School where she lettered in cross country, track, and cheer leading. She graduated with her class in 1983. Soon after graduation she enlisted in the United States Navy, where she proudly served from July 1983 through August 1987,and served in the Naval Reserves for an additional 2 and a half years.

In 1998 she started her career with Employment Security at Work Source Grays Harbor. She dedicated 28 years of service to the State of Washington, where she was known for her work ethic, dedication, and knowledge. She found a lot of joy volunteering in our community. She volunteered with Greater Grays Harbor Inc. where she served as an ambassador for many years. She also was very involved in several other community events, but found the most joy out of helping coordinate and facilitate an annual Christmas toy drive for children on the harbor. She was always very passionate about animals, and was a monthly donor to several charities that aid in animal rescue.

In 2006 she married the love of her life Ray Reeves. The two of them lived happily together at their home in Copalis Beach where they enjoyed spending time with family, traveling, and vacationing until his untimely passing in October 2017.

Mimi was a loving wife, daughter, sister, mother, but most of all grandmother. She is survived by her parents Bill and Claudia Stoddard, her daughter Noelle Thompson, son in law Kenneth Thompson and their 3 children Nickolas, Kenley, and Nolan. Her 2 brothers Frank and Daniel Clark. Her 3 step sons Ronald, Donald, Daniel Reeves, and their families. Her 2 sister in laws Shirley Brown, and Darlene Tibbatts. Her beloved cat Raspberry (Razzy). Along with many other family members, colleagues, and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband Ray Reeves. Her grandparents Richard and Dena Frank, and her kitties Toonsis, Boo, Pansy, and Lilly.

Everyone that knew Mimi will remember her for her humor, intelligence, resilience, but most of all the love she had for her family and grandchildren. Through her dedication and compassion to her family, friends, and career she touched many lives and her legacy of love, strength, and kindness will live on in all that knew her.

A celebration of life will be held in July of 2026-more information to follow. In lieu of flowers her family has requested for donations to be made to a local animal shelter in Mimi's honor.
