Minada Carroll

Minada Louise Carroll, age 93, of Germfask, Michigan, passed away on January 15, 2026, at Schoolcraft Medical Care Facility.

Minada was born on August 21, 1932, in Swartz Creek, Michigan, to the late Johnny Tahash and Gatha (Storms) Tahash. She was raised and educated in the Swartz Creek area and was a student at Linden High School. Later in life, she moved to the Upper Peninsula, making Germfask her home in the 1990s, where she spent her remaining years.

On May 21, 1949, Minada was united in marriage to her beloved husband, Terrence Carroll. Together they shared many years of marriage before his passing. She was also preceded in death by her parents; her son, Terry; her daughter-in-law, Denise; her sister, Dorothy; and her brother, Ron.

Minada was employed for many years as a jeweler, selling diamonds for Sears and Roebuck. She was known for her strong work ethic, attention to detail, and pride in her work.

In her personal life, Minada enjoyed dancing, especially line dancing and country music, and loved spending time playing cards and socializing. She had a special love for flowers and gardening and was a perfectionist at heart, always taking pride in keeping her home and surroundings just the way she liked it.

She is survived by her longtime companion, Richard Carroll of Germfask; her son, Randy Carroll of Germfask; her daughter, Gloria Carroll of Germfask; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place, and no public services are planned at this time.
