Minnie Pearl Barbee, 82, of Albemarle, passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at Atrium Health Stanly Hospital in Albemarle.
Mrs. Barbee was born on April 29, 1942, to the late Wilbur Travis and Sadie Huneycutt Sides. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her seven siblings.
Pearl owned and operated Pearl's Beauty Salon in Albemarle for over 50 years.
The funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 9, 2025 at 2:00 pm, at Bethany United Methodist Church, 2411 US Hwy 52 N., Albemarle officiated by Pastor David Cochran. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Pearl is survived by her husband of 66 years, Jimmy Barbee; son, Jimmy Barbee, Jr.;granddaughter, Tiffany Burris; special nieces and nephew, Rita Wood, Brenda Callicutt, Cindy Ward, Zeena UpChurch, Dennis Green and Debbie Whitley and many other nieces and nephews.
