Miriam J. Fish

M. Joan Fish Miriam "Joan" Seth Fish was born on November 21, 1939, at Oil City Hospital, Oil City, Pennsylvania. In 1957, she graduated from Strong Vincent High School, Erie, Pennsylvania. She went on to attend the Oil City Hospital School of Nursing, where she graduated in 1960. She married Loren W. Fish on January 16, 1960. She enjoyed reading, travel, politics, debate and her children, grandchildren and great grandson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Loren W. Fish; her parents, James and E. Jane Seth; two sisters, Linda Croushore and Betsy Loeffler- Brown; infant sister Michelle Seth; sister-in-law Shirley Seth, and a granddaughter, Elizabeth Fish. Survivors include her children, William L. Fish, Kansas City, Kan., Craig and Ann (Fish) Congrove, Shawnee, Kan., Randall and Ellen Fish, Kansas City, Mo.; grandchildren, Nichole (Congrove) and Justin Honeywell, Atchison, Kan., Lauren Congrove, Shawnee, Kan., Randall Fish, Kansas City, Mo.; great grandson Aiden Justin Honeywell, Atchison, Kan.; brothers and sisters Kay and David Booser, Lois and Lon Cowan, Jerry and Kate Seth, William and Shea Seth, Bob and Susan Teribery, and Mark and Lisa Causgrove. She is also survived by her brothers-in-law James Croushore and Larry Brown; 23 nieces and nephews and 41 great nieces and great nephews, all of Erie County, Pennsylvania. Visitation will be held 1-2:30 p.m. Saturday, August 23, at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf. Private interment in Johnson County Memorial Gardens.
