Missyjo Place passed away suddenly in the arms of her mother, held close and surrounded by love. Her passing was unexpected, and the loss is deeply felt by everyone who knew her, especially her brother Denis, his wife Melissa, and her family and friends.
Missyjo had a way of finding joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved a good game of bingo and the excitement that came with it. She could spend hours happily coloring, filling each page with care and creativity. And she never turned down a scratch-off ticket — she enjoyed the thrill and the hope that came with every one.
More than anything, Missyjo will be remembered for the warmth she brought into a room and the love she shared so freely. She will be greatly missed, forever loved, and always remembered.
Visitation will take place on Monday, March 2, 2026 from 10:00 am - 11:00 am, with a prayer service to begin at 11:00am at Cannon Funeral Home, 2020 Central Ave., Colonie. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery.
