Mitchell Keith Estep, age 45, of Elizabethton, passed away on Friday, January 27, 2023. A native of Carter County, he was the son of Marvin Estep and Jennifer Carrier Estep both of Elizabethton and was born on October 2, 1977. Mitchell was a member of Holly Springs Freewill Baptist Church and was an employee of Color Works. He loved hunting and fishing. Mitchell is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Maude Carrier; paternal grandfather, Vernon Estep; an uncle, Keith Carrier and a niece, Madison Blevins.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by two children, Addison Estep and Dallas Estep both of Elizabethton; one brother, Maverick Estep (Samantha) of Elizabethton; three sisters, Melanie Curd (Ryan) of Piney Flats, Malarie Guinn (Josh) and Macie Odom (Chad) both of Elizabethton; maternal grandfather, Eugene Carrier (Teresa) of Elizabethton; paternal grandmother, Loretta Estep of Elizabethton; three nieces, Aly, Karlee and Lillie; five nephews, Elijah, Ian, Cade, Knox and Ridge; half-brother, Jeremy Blevins.
A service to celebrate the life of Mitchell Keith Estep will be conducted at 7:00 PM, Monday, January 30, 2023 in the Chapel of Peace of Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton with Pastor Eric Sams officiating. Music will be under the direction of the Sams Family and Karlee Odom. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM prior to the funeral on Monday or at the residence of the mother at other times.
The graveside service and internment will be conducted at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, January 31st at the Taylor Cemetery (off Big Sandy Road). Active pallbearers will be Ryan Curd, Josh Guinn, Chad Odom, Dustin Perry, Justin Perry and Jamin Arnold. Honorary pallbearers will be Mitchell's friends at Color Works and DRC. Everyone will meet at the cemetery at 9:45 AM on Tuesday.
