FLANSBURGH, Mitchell "Mitch" – age 67, our loving dad, son, brother, and uncle, passed away peacefully with family by his side on November 18, 2025, at Hurley Medical Center.
Mitch was born in Lapeer on August 31, 1958, to Richard and Patricia Flansburgh. He grew up in Lapeer and Montrose alongside his siblings. He graduated from Utica High school in 1976. Mitch engaged in family gatherings, loved to fish, and loved to watch "Price is Right." He was a truck driver and worked in a skilled trade steel factory. In addition, he enjoyed driving his Pontiac GTO and had a love of classic cars. Mitch will be remembered as a funny guy who loved having a good time. Above all, he loved his family dearly.
Mitch leaves behind his family to cherish his memory. He is survived by: Brothers: David Flansburgh, Larry (Denise) Goulet, Robert Mathis II, and Rodney (Kimberly) Mathis; Sisters: Cindy (Doug) Hoxie, Mechel Keel, Marcella Flansburgh, Teri (Chuck) Thiede, Marae Candy, and Rhonda Mathis. Mitch was preceded in death by: Parents, Richard and Patricia; Beloved daughter, Clarissa Flansburgh; Grandparents: Marion and Clare Flansburgh and Donald and Mildred Nash; Stepparents: Robert Mathis and Billie Flansburgh; Brothers: Mark Flansburgh and Michael Goulet.
"The love in our family flows strong and deep, leaving us memories to treasure and keep."
