Mitchell Jae Hutchison, born December 3, 1980, to Tommy and Brenda Hutchison, was a beloved son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He was later joined by his siblings, Chelsey, Jennie, Bari, and Brian, with whom he shared a lifetime of memories.

On June 16, 2000, Mitchell married Jillian Horton. Together, they built a family that was the center of Mitchell’s world. He was a proud father to Sarah, Emily, and David, and a devoted grandfather to his cherished granddaughters, Riley and Cassie, who brought him immense joy.

Mitchell was a hardworking man who never hesitated to help anyone in need. He worked construction during the summer months and snow removal in the winter, embracing every season with determination and grit. A true jack of all trades, Mitchell loved to “Mitchatize” projects—creating unique machines and gadgets from spare parts, always finding a way to make things work.

He loved spending time with family and friends, especially playing board games, riding horses, snowmachining, and cutting firewood in the mountains. A true cowboy at heart, Mitchell had a deep love for animals, particularly his loyal dogs Leech, Worf, and Zeus. He was also known for his hand-knitted beanie hats, a unique and endearing talent that reflected his creativity and care.

Above all else, Mitchell’s greatest love was his family. His children and grandchildren were his greatest pride and joy, and he cherished every moment spent with them. Mitchell was deeply loved and admired by everyone who knew him, and his legacy of hard work, kindness, ingenuity, and love will live on in the hearts of many.

Mitchell was preceded in death by JD Kindler, Sheralyn Holgate, Kalyn Holgate, and Korden Hutchison.

A visitation will be held at the Crandall Funeral Home Friday evening from 5:00 till 7:00 pm on Friday, January 2, 2026, and again at the LDS Chapel in Elba, Idaho Sunday, January 4, 2026, from 3:00 till 5:00 pm.
