In Loving Memory of Mitchell Ray Massey
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mitchell Ray Massey. He left us too soon and entered into eternal rest on May 31, 2025, at the young age of 56.
Mitchell was born on January 7, 1969, in Huntington Park, California, to Jimmy and Kishma Lee Massey. He was a beloved father, son, brother, uncle, and friend. He leaves behind two beautiful children, Mitchell Ociel Massey and Kishma Michelle Massey, who were the light of his life.
He is also survived by his loving sisters, Jennifer (Rudy) Manka and Rachelle (Hector) Ytuarte, his nephews, Darren Ytuarte and Matthew Manka; and his niece, Heiley Manka.
Mitchell had a deep love for music; it was the soundtrack of his life, and he always had a song in his heart. Whether he was relaxing at home or enjoying time with family and friends. Music was never far from his reach. He also had a signature style that those who knew him will never forget, he loved his sunglasses, and he rarely went without a cold beer in hand and a smile on his face.
His heart and home were always open, and he found family in more than just blood. He was deeply connected to the Solano and Balderrama families, who held a special place in his life. He is fondly remembered by Angle Solano, Ted (Candice) Solano, Cindy Salinas, Felicia Solano, La Homa (Denton) Alvarez, and numerous nieces and nephews who brought him joy and laughter.
Mitchell's warmth, sense of humor, and unwavering love for his family and friends will be remembered always. He lived life on his own terms, loved fiercely, and laughed loudly. He touched many lives and will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of knowing him.
Services to celebrate Mitchell's life will be held on June 10, 2025, in the Funeral Chapel in Primrose Funeral Services of Devine, Texas.
