Mitchell Saunders Obituary
Mitch was born on May 10, 1954, in Salina, Kansas, the son of Keith "Pete" and Patricia "Pat" Beck Saunders. He graduated from Minneapolis High School in Minneapolis, Kansas with the Class of 1973 and attended Sterling College and Kansas State University. Mitch married Lynne Stout on July 23, 1977, in Burlingame, Kansas. He worked in sales for Ray Andersen in the overhead doors department.
Mitch loved Colorado and Rocky Mountain National Park and would often get up very early to go Moose spotting. He enjoyed sports of all kinds but had a passion for softball and he could run.
Mitch is survived by his wife, Lynne; children, Nick and Brock Saunders; siblings, Monte Saunders (Marie) and Shelly Vishnefske (John); and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Mike Saunders, and nephew, Tyler Vishnefske.
Visitation will be 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, June 27, 2025, at Kevin Brennan Family Funeral Home, 2801 SW Urish Road, Topeka KS 66614.
Celebration of Mitch's Life will be 2 p.m. Saturday, July 12, 2025, at the Wells Community Center, 205 Main Street, Wells, KS 67467.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of donor's choice, and sent in care of the funeral home. Condolences may be sent online to www.kevinbrennanfamily.com.
Mitch says, "Smile and eat ice cream."

Lynne, Nick and Brock, we are so sorry for your loss. I have many fond memories of playing softball with Mitch. Recent KC trip to a Royals game a BBQ crawl, and trip to our farm with he and Noel, was so much fun. Mitch was a wonderful man and a good friend. He will be missed.
